Karsten Moholt AS expands its operations in the north of Norway by buying a local company called Teknor AS.
3rd of December Karsten Moholt has officially finalized a takeover of an electromechanical company in Harstad called Teknor AS.
Karsten Moholt AS and Teknor AS have been collaborating on various maintenance projects taking part in the north of Norway the past several years. Both companies strive to deliver quality maintenance solutions to oil and gas, shipping and industrial sectors.
‘Teknor is a company with a broad expertise within electromechanical machinery and long traditions. In addition, the company focuses on delivering quality solutions to the industry, which make them similar to Karsten Moholt’, says Linn Cecilie Moholt, CEO in Karsten Moholt AS.
Linn Cecilie Moholt also believes that this takeover will bring new possibilities to Karsten Moholt. According to Karsten Moholts’ CEO, more and more activities in oil and gas industry in Noway are being moved up North, therefore, having a local workshop in the north of Norway will contribute to strengthening company’s position in the market.
The takeover of Teknor AS will also contribute to the company with an expanded product portfolio. Already next year the company is planning to invest in the workshop facilities in Harstad in order to grow the capacity.
