Heavy machinery

Karsten Moholt's heavy machinery department is Norway's leader in high-voltage electro-machines.

Tasks the department undertakes for this type of machinery include overhaul, high-voltage testing, winding and test running. It has the largest vacuum chamber in Norway and handles machines up to 3.6 metres in height and up to 30 tonnes in weight. The work is carried out on oil rigs, ships, at facilities on land, at hydro-electric power stations and at Karsten Moholt's facility on Askøy.
